Neat, handwritten gift presentation gift inscrptn+date to front free endpaper, absent(?) dw/dj.Publisher's bright,crisp,clean,sharp-cornered, plain pale blue cloth boards - front board with a single blocked border edge and no text or decoration, spine/backstrip slightly sunned/faded but with bright, crisp, gilt lettered title+author name within a panel at head of same, remainder of spine a dark blue ink-lined panel with decoration and publisher's dark blue lettering to panel at foot of spine, rear board plain and without decoration.Negligible shelf-wear,bumping, creasing to edges and corners - no nicks, tears or splits present.Top edge coloured,fore-edge inevitably but lightly aged/toned with minimal, sporadic foxing/ spotting; contents generally bright and clean with minimal blemish, tight, solid and sound - no dog-ear reading creases to any pages' corner tips, appears unread other than my own collation.UK,slim 12mo HB,minus issued(?) dw/dj,1st edn thus,vii-viiipp+1- 79pp [paginated] includes 2pp contents list/table,51 poems,31 b/w woodcuts vignette/thumbnail illustrations interspersed throughout the poems on stiff paper pages; plus [unpaginated] blank,half-title+ title pages, plus to the rear as last pages,4pp publisher's catalogue. Visually the exterior appearance is exceptional, and even internally, the book is in a more than acceptable condition/state of preservation and presentation for a book of it's 90+ year-old age. It is only the minimal faults described that prevents a slightly higher grading.Despite them,it really is still an exceptional copy for its cleanliness and brightness.
