New York: Macmillan, (1973). Book. Near Fine. Hardcover. F. First Edition. Large octavo, full navy blue leatherette with blindstamp front panel decoration of a compass rose and gilt spine titles. Map endpapers, silk ribbon marker. 270pp. including index and selected bibliography. Generously illustrated throughout in color and black and white with many in text and full page maps in color and black and white. A very tight, bright, unmarked volume with prior owner blindstamp on ffep and light foxing to half title and one or two touches of very faint foxing on a couple of later pages, in a dust jacket which also shows a touch of very faint foxing and the most minor rubbint at tips, else fine. Despite the minor defects meticulously noted, this is an excellent, tight, bright copy and near fine in near fine dust jacket..
