Dodd, Mead, 1961. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. Various. First edition/printing thus. Part of the Dodd Great Illustrated Classics series. Book is in Fine condition while the jacket is in Very Good Minus condition because of a small chunk out on rear panel and sticker ghost on front flap and some wear at spine ends. It is in a protector and presents quite well (see photo). Hard to find in condition especially non library like this copy! Introduction by Louis B. Salomon. As usual with GIC books, with pictures of the author and his environment and illustrations of the setting of the book throughout. 23 classic stories (the best of Harte) that helped to paint an early picture of the American West.
