B. T. Batsford, London 1899. Original blue cloth with gilt titling and decoration. 136 pages plus index and ads. A classic work covering decorative styles in applied art throughout history. Many countries and styles covered including Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Persian, Scandinavian, Norman, Celtic etc. Profusely illustrated with black and white drawings in 43 full plates and many textual illustrations. One corner very lightly bumped, page edges foxed as well as prelims, cloth clean and unworn. Overall a very good copy and a must have for any student of decorative design.
