Frankfurt am Main.: D. Stemple A.G., 1954.. [4]pp,[100 leaves printed on rectos only],[8]pp. Oblong quarto (23 x 31 cm). Gilt lettered vellum backed blind-lettered boards. Printed in black and red. About fine, without slipcase, First edition of one of the masterful displays of Zapf's typographic art, printed in an edition of 1000 copies by Heinrich Egenolf in red and black at Stempel's House Printing Office. The contents present an array of texts in 16 languages in contemporary and historic types from the Stemple cases. Inserted in a sleeve on the rear pastedown is the sewn pamphlet printing German translations of the 100 texts.
