Philadelphia: Henry C. Lea, 1874. Hardcover. Good. Large Octavo. 1131, (32) pages. Hardcover bound in full tan leather with black label pastedowns on spine. The binding is worn and shows scuff marks and general soiling. In places the scuff marks are down to the board. Headcap is starting. Top edge of front and rear boards are quite scuffed and rubbed but the outside hinges are generally secure. Black label pastedown on spine has some vertical cracking and chipping. Spine is scuffed. Front gutter is mostly broken between the Title Page and the Preface and is connected to the text block by one cord. Rear gutter is secure. Text is toned with occasional smudging.
