NY: Grosset & Dunlap; (1978). First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Third printing of the first edition, very good in a very good dust jacket. A little edgewear and soiling the the book and the jacket. A large book (1120 pages); tight and square. With a gift inscription dated 1978 on the front endpaper to Rick. Laid in is a letter fromt Richard Nixon in an envelope with his franking signature at top right, and a typed letter dated October 27, 1978 thanking Rick for his thoughtful letter. Signed in full "Richard Nixon" in what appears to be an authentic autograph but could be autopen. The letterhead and envelope are printed with Nixon's La Casa Pacifica address in San Clemente.
