Hartford, CT: Press of the Case, Lockwood & Brainard Company, 1886. Hardcover. 122, [4]pp., original photograph portrait frontispiece, boards. 7.75 x 5.75 in. Bound in brown cloth over boards, block stamped ornamental trim with Norris's name stamped in gilt in a script-like typeface. Bookplates of the Connecticut State Library (with shelf mark) on front and rear pastedowns; embossed library stamp on title page and following leaf. Shelf wear, particularly to head and foot of spine; corners lightly bumped. Illustrated with a real photograph portrait of Morris, a Yale graduate and ordained Congregationalist minister who commanded pulpits at North Stonington and West Hartford. Includes the text of two sermons, a timeline of Morris's life, and a short bibliography of his published works.
