London : World Film Publications, 1946. First edition. A "Book of the Film" adaptation by E. Fisher of an original story with dialogue by Joyce Cary, adapted via the Herbert Victor and Thorold Dickinson screenplay. Illustrated with stills and studio portraits (Phyllis Calvert, Eric Portman and some seldom seen black actors). Crown 8vo (19cm). (78)pp. Plates. Portraits. Original pictorial stapled wrappers; a little rubbed and slight creased; text a little browned throughout, more heavily and unevenly on opening leaves, but a good copy of a fragile production.
