London: Jonathan Cape, 1932.. First edition. 8vo. 283, (1) pp. Publisher's green cloth, yellow lettered to the spine, dust jacket, not price clipped. Wear with slight loss to the spine ends and upper corners of the jacket, else very good. The author's first published volume of short stories, his first novel ("A Nest of Simple Folk") appeared the following year.
