Second Edition, 1779, in four volumes, " with, An Appendix, Containing Sixteen Characters of Great Personages and Letters Written by the Same Noble Earl". vii, 375; (4), 411; (4), 400; (4), 401, (4), 106 pp.. With 8 plates, four bound as frontispieces and the other four bound in Vol.I. Bound in contemporary tree calf, the backs with black morocco labels lettered in gilt and with gilt decorations. Very Good Plus, light wear to boards at corners, toning mainly associated with plates and end papers, small prior owner name stamp front paste downs, internally quite clean and lovely. Uncommon in such lovely condition. A heavy set, please be advised added shipping charges will be requested for international orders. . Second Edition. Tree Calf. Very Good Plus/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
