About This Item
From the Preface: "[Missouri] has sent to Congress statesmen of national renown. She has produced artists and authors of worth. More than any other state did she send forth her hardy men to explore and settle the West. She gave to the nation journalists of ability and courage. She has borne reformers and scientists, whose work will live. Her soldiers have cast glory on their patriotic people."
This book, devoted to these men and women, has been published for use in the public schools.
Poor condition. Grayish green cloth covers with dark green text and graphic. Cover shows spine edge and corner wear, plus there may have been something pasted to the front cover as there are swirls of glue? remaining. This appears to be ex-library as there is a pocket remnant on the inside front cover. There is also Racheport High School writing in pencil. The front end paper has a partial tear, but the cover is still attached. The pages have light tanning, but are free of marks. The binding appears to be mostly good. There may be some light spots/soiling on a few pages.
Please use photos as part of the description.569 pages.
