Seder Mitzvot Nashim (The Order of Women's Precepts) by Benjamin Aaron ben Abraham Slonik of Grodno (c. 1550–c. 1619), translated into Italian by Jacob ben Elhanan Heilbronn in 1614; this copy printed in Venice, 1710.
A practical and fairly sympathetic guide to women's ritual obligation, first published in Yiddish in Cracow, 1577, in Italian in Padua, 1616. This was probably the most popular of the rabbinical guides to a woman's three ritual obligations: (1) the taking of a piece of dough before baking bread, (2) the lighting of lights on the eve of the Sabbath and festivals, and (3) observing the various rules of ritual purity during and after menstruation. It went through numerous editions in Yiddish and Italian through 1750. OCLC locates ten copies of this edition.

Sátoraljaújhely, W. Alexander, 1910. Hardcover. .. Small octavo. Pp. 288. Portrait frontispiece and another plate. Some text ornaments. List of participants. HARDCOVER, bound in the original publisher's grained crimson cloth, small plate of Jerusalem mounted on upper cover, black lettering, floral endpapers apparently lacking free endpaper, cloth bit faded and marked, slight wear at spine ends. Bit shaken, opens stiff, but nevertheless a lovely copy. ~ The travelogue of Wilhelm Alexander describes the pilgrimage in 1910 of 68 Jews, predominantly Hungarian, from Budapest to Palestine. They first travelled to Triest, where they embarked on the "Elektra", sailing to Alexandria. From Alexandria, via Cairo and Port Said, they arrived at Jaffa. Alexander's report is a remarkable account. It combines his critical, sometime painful observations, detailed descriptions of meetings with the local community and dignitaries, with a travelogues of pilgrimages to the holy places,…

"In these days of high tension, both international and personal, the need for better understanding among people of all countries, all races, and all creeds is greater than ever before in the history of the world. An increased spirit of brotherhood, predicated on a clearer concept of the religious beliefs of others could well result in a new appreciation of their tenets, thereby creating an attitude of respect which is frequently lacking today both in business and in political contacts...." - Foreword from Days And Customs Of All Faiths
