1873 Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes Humpty Dumpty Twinkle Little Star Jack n Jill
There can hardly be found a name or pseudonym so synonymous with nursery rhymes as Mother Goose. This charming 19th-century pictorial collection of the classic children's work was composed by James William Elliot, with song lyrics by M.L. Elliot. Each song includes a delightful corresponding woodcut vignette. These illustrations are by a variety of artists under the supervision of the esteemed English engravers, the Brothers Dalziel, George, and Edward.
Included within are some of the most famous pieces such as 'Mistress Mary, Quite Contrary,' 'Jack and Jill,' 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star,' 'Dickory, Dickory, Dock,' 'Little Bo-Peep,' 'Little Jack Horner,' 'Humpty Dumpty,' 'Hey Diddle Diddle,' and so many more!
