Boston: Crocker & Brewster, 1833. 12mo, pp. [5], iv [i.e. vi]-viii, [13]-164; original muslin-backed paper-covered marbled boards; printed spine label; bookplate on front pastedown of John Todd with his signature dated 1833 (likely the American minister who also wrote several books on moralistic principles of the time), corners bumped, covers rubbed, joints cracked, spine chipped, light foxing; otherwise good and reasonably sound. The Mother at Home was an influential work that employs simple language and direct advice on the practicalities of child rearing. American Imprints 17220.
