New York: E. P. Dutton Book. Good. Hardcover. Edition Unstated. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. A collection of daily readings for mothers to read to very young children. All the readings are scripturally based with emphasize on love - love for the Savior, for all mankind, for truth: love that would be a blessing and a help. Small hardback - red decorated cloth with black lettering. Illustrated, B&W frontispiece. 96 pages. No date shown, appears to be mid to late 1800's. Evidence of pencil erasure on front endpapers. Pages a little aged, some scattered foxing, mostly to endpapers and reverse of frontis. Except for a couple small smudges pages are clean and unmarked with a few small edge tears, nothing into text. Some paper peeling to front pastedown. Cover has some soiling / spotting, and light wear to corners and spine ends. Both hinges lightly cracked. Introduction by A. B. Boyd Carpenter.
