About This Item

New York:: Duell, Sloan, & Pearce,, 1940.. First Printing of the First US Edition. A Near Fine copy with three discreet spots to the bottom edge of the rear board in Very Good plus price-clipped dust jacket with a small narrow stain to the lower rear panel. Upon his return to America from the far regions of the world and seeking a place among the "woods and templed hill" where he could live a full and vigorous and free life, Kent discovered a beautiful spot in the Adirondacks. In This is My Own Rockwell Kent, the farmer-artist, has written not only a narrative of a rural way of life ...but a declaration of faith. This autobiographical treatise is complemented with 10 full plate illustrations and over 100 text illustrations by the author.
