This was the first German edition of Fram over Polhavet; den norske polarfaerd 1893-96, af Fridtjof Nansen. Med a tillaeg of otto Sverdrup. (The Fram across the Polar sea, the Norweigan expedition 1893-96. with a supplement by Otto Sverdrup which was published in English as Farthest North. In 3 volumes, illustrated throughout. 2 portrait frontispieces, 12 coloured plates, 4 folding & colored maps, 293 text-figures. Original tan cloth with illustration mounted on front covers. Vol I, x, 527pp, map; Vol II, viii, 507pp, 2 maps, Vol III, viii, 519pp. Narrative of the first "Fram" Expedition, 1893-96, led by Nansen. Covers on all volumes grubby, some staining, shelfware, Vol I splitting at rear hinge, Vol II front ep split at hinge. All volumes age toning to pages, occasional spotting, as expected.
