Greene's second novel, The Name of Action, follows the strange turn of events that occur when wealthy British youth Oliver Chant is sent to Germany to participate in an underground Communist rebellion. Greene became disenchanted with the work and prevented it from being reprinted, making it one of his scarcer titles.
