About This Item

London : Bickers & Son, 1893. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 404pp. HARDCOVER Expensively produced full leather binding with gilt decoration. Produced as a school prize from "Falconbury School." No clues given as to the location of this school but possibly London? Marbled endpapers & external edges. 1915 presentation bookplate attached to fep. Otherwise excellent internally, with little or no sign of use. Lots of b/w engravings throughout the entire volume. These are all accompanied by tissue-guards. These are notorious for being acidic, which causes foxing - yet there is none. Strong binding. A lovely copy. **Leather newly dressed..
