8vo. 5 volumes uniformly bound in full brown calf leather with black leather spine labels. All edges marbled. Illustrated with maps Zamorano 89 #3. Comprise the first five volumes of Bancrofts famous WORKS. Leather bindings dry and rubbed at extremities, some hinges weak and starting to crack. Spine of Volume V with a 1 inch horizontal tear and cracked hinge. Text blocks tight.
