London: Published by Smith, elder and Co., 1839. [4], 172pp. Contemporary gilt-tooled red half-morocco, decorated green cloth boards, A.E.G. Lightly rubbed and marked. Armorial bookplate of Francis Markham to FEP, very occasional inked annotations to margins. A complete register of every officer, both retired and in active service, of the British Army. The catalogue is arranged by regiment, with biographical notes for distinguished members, details of the numerous departments and headquarters throughout the Empire, and information on campaigns fought throughout the first half of the nineteenth century, including, naturally the Napoleonic Wars. . 8vo.
