The Viking Press, New York., 1964. First Edition (stated).. Hardcover.. VG+/VG+. 8 1/2 x 6 x 1 1/2.. NON SMOKING STORE. My listing includes PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK for sale. Book VERY GOOD PLUS, Boards Very Good Plus, Dust Jacket Very Good Plus. Boards are red cloth with burgundy box on spine, gilt lettering. Dust jacket is NOT PRICE CLIPPED, has some chipping along edges, some creases, and a scratch on the DJ back which did not break the paper. Dust jacket white parts are a bit age darkened and slightly rubbed by adjacent book, DJ black parts are slightly rubbed by adjacent book. DJ has a 1/2 inch tear at front fold. DJ has slight moisture stain on inside, which is also on the back board although it is almost invisible except where a tiny bit of paper stuck to the board. Book covers are clean, corners straight, only a few creases at bottom of spine. Book is clean, tight, is slightly over-opened at page 20, 24 and 52 but binding is not broken and no pages are loose or missing. A few very slight marks on open side, top and bottom of book. No illustrations. No photos. Dame Rebecca West also wrote The Meaning of Treason in 1947. In this book, she continues into the 1960’s her brilliant account of traitors in WW II and after, adding the atomic spy cases, the Rosenbergs, the later paid spies and defectors, and the West-Profumo-Keeler scandal. Book Club Hardcover.

I'm happy to answer any questions regarding my books, just ask. IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.

This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office.
