A later cheap edition on thin paper of one of Dorothy Sayers' favourite Lord Peter detective novels. Another incredible mystery novel by Dorothy Sayers, featuring Lord Peter Wimsey. This volume is regarded by many as the author's finest literary achievement. Sayes was an English crime writer, known for her excellency and vitality. English aristocrat and sleuth Lord Peter Wimsey is the detective in her series.With the original and unclipped dustwrapper and illustrations. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally very smart with slight shelfwear and minor bumping to head and tail of spine and extremities. Cloth to spine has slightly faded. The dustwrapper is unclipped and very smart with only minor shelfwear and chipping. Front and rear wrap as well as spine are slightly tone ages, as usual Minor mark to tail of spine and rear wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Slight tone ageing to pages, otherwise pages are bright and clean. With illustrations. Very Good
