Paulton ( Somerset) & London: Purnell & Sons. Very Good with no dust jacket. 1960. Reissue. Hardcover. In the original publisher's glossy red pictorial laminated boards with coloured illustrations to both covers. No dustjacket as issued. The boards are overall VG. The clear laminate is lifting/splitting along the spine hinge fold. Some light wear/repair to the spine at either end, with a small nick to the left hand side, but no loss. Overall the boards are Very Good, Bright and Tight. There is NO Date given but this has to be late 50s possibly even early 60s - This 'pop-up' title was first published by Sampson Low, Marston in 1954 with a plastic spiral spine. In this reissue the publisher is Purnell & Sons, but no date shown in the publishing detail on foot ofthe last page. As a reissue this is likely the first in this new form? Contains 5 lovely full colour pop ups and story text with colour illustrations. The first pop-up has one crease and one tiny (internal) repair. The second pop up has some creasing and lacks one blank 'link' piece of card, but the remaining 3 pop-ups are IMMACULATE! Internally there is one slight mark (circa 1cm) to the bottom blank corner, o/w the book has NO INSCRIPTIONS or other noticable marks. Overall this is an Excellent, Very Clean, Tight and Bright copy, just in need of the one plain 'link' piece. See Images. ; Oblong Small 4to 9" - 11" tall .
