About This Item
The original was in 1865, and this is the ninth with a postscript added concerning the development of the country. Very good or top of GOOD; I am not a competent grader and so I describe every defect. No dust jacket. xvii plus 396 pp plus 7 leaves of adverts. The Fold-out map showing travels across Saskatchwan, B.C. and Washington is there in GOOD plus condition. I only give it a GOOD plus because at each end of the fold is a tiny, quater-inch, split that is confined to within the margin. There should be 11 other plates including the frontis; they are all there in Fine condition. Frontis is still protected by tissue. Fold-out map showing travels across Saskatchwan, B.C. and Washington complete with fold crack. prelims plus map plus 396 text pages plis 8 LEAVES of Cassell's books. Original binding bluish with gilt titling and black illustration. Gilt titling on spine. a 1910 Daily Mail clipping lightly tipped onto fep, being obit for author Cheadle. Mild corner rubs. Owner name inside front board. Excellent survivor
