A nicely done reprint in an edition of 500 copies of this classic work first published by Adam and Charles Black in 1939.
Hardback – textured leather-style binding with gilt titles to spine and gilt device to front board, page-block top edge gilt, sewn-in ribbon page marker, housed in a clothbound slipcase. viii, 136pp plus colour frontispiece and two b/w plates. 9.5 x 6.25 inches approx. (240mm x 158mm).
Slipcase a touch marked and dusty, small splash mark (and just visible in accompanying image).
Nonetheless, a lovely, clean copy in very presentable condition.
