A unique perspective of global tectonics, considered the structural unifying principle at a global scale. There's information here that would be difficult to find anywhere else. Dr. Menard makes it so accessible, and personal, which is what sets this "account" (not necessarily a technical book per se) apart from other books in plate tectonics. It was by accident that this book came to me, and feel very fortunate that it did. A fascinating book, reflecting a dedicated researcher's perspective to a revolutionary advance in geology.
