Boston: Ruth Hill, Publisher, 1934. 1st Edition . Cloth. Near Fine/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 256 pp., photo frontis, b/w photos. The story of John Burkman, George Custer's orderly and a soldier in the 7th Cavalry. Burkman was devoted to the Custers. Bright red cloth hard bound book . The gold foil title stamping to the spine is sl. faded but still legible. No d/w but the book is now protected in a professionally made red cloth slip case. Flat signed by the author on the f.f.e.p. along w/an unrelated gift inscription. Nice copy.
