The story told in "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" has crafty, metaphorically intelligent rhymes within it that will stay with you and your children/grandchildren for a lifetime! In addition to "Hop on Pop," "Oh The Places You Will Go!," "Mr. Brown," and "Green Eggs and Ham," I cannot think of more splendid stories to read or teach your child to read other than more Dr. Seuss books! Though they may appear fictional, these stories also seem to tell a story in each that is not obvious if you have no imagination. The creatures invented by Dr. Seuss may remind you of certain people you have met Ãn real life if you use your imagination to reveal alternative meanings of the rhymes. I taught all five of my children to read in "Hop on Pop" and this very book here, "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish." The Dr Seuss writings are the most SPLENDID book series ever, for children AND adults- for ALL reasons! Hope you enjoy as much as we all have!
