Venice: Octavianus Scotus, 1483. First Edition. Hardcover (Vellum). Very Good Condition. Later full parchment, mildly soiled, inner joints cracked, covers slightly bowed, old bookplate to pastedown and stamp to first page, lacking first and last blanks otherwise complete, trimmed a bit close at top in a few spots, nearly touching the running title, page edge sponge decorated; a few groups of pages browned, handful of early marginal notes, scattered minor foxing and staining; generally very clean. An important collection of genuine and pseudo-Augustinian works, first collected here (seven of these had been printed in a Krakow produced Opuscula in 1476). It includes the confessions, meditations and twenty other works both by Augustine and thought to have been by him. 274 (of 276, lacking blanks) leaves. ISTC ia01216000 Size: Quarto (4to).
