The first edition, first impression of this work, in the publisher's original price clipped dust wrapper.Christie's thrilling mystery follows the narrator Mark Easterbrook as he investigates a list of names and the death of a Catholic Priest. With a small appearance from Christie's novelist detective Ariadne Oliver.This novel is notable among Christie's books as it is credited with having saved at least two lives, after readers recognised the symptoms of thallium poisoning from the description in the book. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price clipped dust wrapper. Bumped to back strip head, otherwise externally excellent. Light spotting to fore edge of text block. Dust wrapper rear wrap age toned, with significant spotting. Amateur restorations to dust wrapper back strip, most concentrated to head and tail. Tide marks to fore edge of front wrap. Closed tears to tail of rear wrap. To the reverse of the dust wrapper are significant restorations to the back strip head and tail, and further restorations to tail of rear wrap, and head and tail of flyleaf folds. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright, with only the odd spot, most concentrated to first and last few leaves and page perimeters. Very Good Indeed
