Octavo; 326 pp. Black cloth binding with blindstamped illustration of a woman's silhouette. Text in gilt to cover and spine. Spine toned and slightly cocked. Boards rubbed with some scuffs and smudges to surface. Binding cracked between pp. 6-7 with back hinge starting; opens easily between gatherings, but text block still secure. Indentations on front free endpaper that appear to be from notes made in pencil and then erased. A few marginal smudges, else pages clean and unmarked.
