Major Bill Close (1914-2006), of the 3rd Royal Tank Regiment, had forty tanks 'shot out' from under him. He served at Calais 1940, Greece 1941, Sidi Rezegh, Gazala and Alamein. Including Bibliography and Index. D/w spine has some sunning; d/w has short edge tear (12mm long); else a very good plus copy, in a very good d/w, of a SCARCE first edition, first printing SIGNED BY MAJOR BILL CLOSE. D/w now protected in a detachable, non-adhesive, clear sheaf.. Presentation Copy Signed By Subject Of Book. First edition, First Printing. Hardback. Very Good Plus/Very Good.
