1909. 8vo., with a folding facsimile as frontispiece, title in red and black and 3 plates on facsimiles on 2; decorative cloth gilt, gilt back, upper boards lightly creased else a very good, clean copy. THE REV. W. SIDNEY SCOTT'S COPY WITH HIS ARMORIAL BOOKPLATE AND OWNERSHIP INSCRIPTION.. The Rev. Scott (1900-1980), clergyman and lecturer, was a Trustee of the Gilbert White Museum at Selborne. From his home at Shortfield House, Frensham, he took an active interest in the history of Surrey and Hampshire. Among his works are a study of 'John Donne' (1946) and 'A Journal of the Terror' (1955).
