Leather boards in very poor condition, detached from spine and text block, rubbed with loss to leather, corners bumped and chipped with small loss, spine partially covered, binding exposed, very feint gilt lettering visible to spine, text block in 3 parts - each part detached from binding, initial pages browned and spotted with chips to reading edges, book plate to front pastedown, folded, linen backed map of England and Wales to front of book clear to read, ink inscription and heavily spotted to reverse side of map, ink inscription to head of title page, browned and spotted along edges, creasing and spotting to folded maps at rear of book, some pencil notation marks to edges but clear to read, 715 pages spotted/browned along edges but text clear to read, Table of the Population from the Census of 1821 to rear of book..
