Some creasing to edges of dustwrapper, some pencil markings on front panel and a couple of rusty marks on back panel, minor bumping to spine ends of red boards, a previous owner's gift message on f/ep, otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. Originally published in 1930, this is a much later book club edition. The story, set in twelfth century France, based on the lives of the philosopher Peter Abelard and Heloise d'Argenteuil. 282pp.. Book Club (BCE/BOMC). Hard Cover. Good/Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
