Boston: Ticknor, Reed, and Fields, 1852. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. pp 4 (publisher's ads), viii, 125. An attractive copy in original brown cloth with blind-stamped decoration. Skillful repair to upper spine, light rubbing to extremities, a few small spots on front cover. Lacks front free endpaper; otherwise internally clean and sound, with a Dawson's Book Shop label on rear pastedown. BAL 19057. Stoddard (1825-1903) was a poet and respected literary critic.
