A rare edition that has an oval on front with inset embroidery of flowers instead of the usual stamped illustration., full plate frontis of Dryburg Abbey. circular photo of Abbotsford on title page. full sepia plates or engravings of Melrose Abbey, Newark Castle, Stirling Castle, Field of Bannockburn. Linlithgow Palace. Loch Vennager All edges are a brilliant gilt, Spine is gilt leather with 6 gilt double ribs with title in one panel and decorative tooling in others. Name of bookseller B H Rothwell. THIS IS OUTSTANDING GIFT QUALITY and undoubtedly a special edition that must, bevause of the embroidery, have been strictly limited.
