Strafford, NH: Bow Lake Publishing Company; For sale by C.F. Batchelder, 1885. Pamphlet. 24p. staplebound pamphlet, very good condition. One of the responses to the 1871 pamphlet 'The Battle of Dorking,' this speculative fiction set fifty years into the future from the date of publication looks back on how the Democrats reclaimed power, raising taxes, restricting the rights of the Black population, and paying reparations to the South for the losses of the Civil War. Though anonymous, it may have been authored by the distributor, Batchelder.
