First appearance in book form (orig. published the previous year in the literary journal, "The Quarter") of Lawrence's thoughts on the subject, perhaps in response to the fact that his new novel (1928),"Lady Chatterley's Lover,'' was banned in the US & would remain so for decades. Lawrence contends that "what is pornography to one man is the laughter of genius to another." In 40 pages, this slim hardcover has decorative gray/red/white paper-covered boards with title box in center front. Condition is Good+: very clean, binding tight & square, pages creamy white & unmarked. Heavy rubbing to extremities, starting to split at back cover-spine interface, corners bumped all the way down to underlying boards.
