About This Item

Undated and untitled, early to mid-seventies, and possibly as a 1977 memorial, consisting of 6 poster boards (20 x 30”); with 28 mounted original photographs (of the contributors, in formal wear) and typed reminiscences. Among those represented are Budd Schulberg, Joseph Heller, “Swifty” Lazar, William Styron, George Plimpton, Ralph Ellison, Kurt Vonnegut, et al. The editor of From Here to Eternity, Burroughs Mitchell, contributed a humorous recollection of the unsuccessful struggle to eliminate “fuck” from the text. Very good condition.
