The artistâs first book of theatrical and literary caricatures - f ollowing a two-year stint drawing for Vanity Fair and the New Yor ker. Dozens of caricatures of American and British celebrities f rom the 1920s. Four color plates, 6 b/w plates, the remaining car icatures in black and white line drawings. Introduction by Carl v an Vechten. Near fine in poor d/w. Corners lightly rubbed, light ly soiled at spine ends. The very scarce d/w is split in half wit h a 1.5â open tear at top of spine and numerous closed tears an d chips along edges. .
