The film is a parody of Mother Goose nursery rhymes using car icatures of Hollywood celebrities of the 1930s. . thing from this production. . e wear to edges with numerous chips and tears, but not affecting the image. . d. Date stamped November 1939; probably an archival reference si nce the film was released in 1938. . Sparks became known for portraying dour-faced, sarcastic, cigar-c homping characters. He became so associated with the type that, i n 1936, The New York Times reported that Sparks had his face insu red for $100,000 with Lloyd's of London. Purportedly, they agree d to pay the sum to any photographer who could capture Sparks smi ling (Sparks later admitted that the story was a publicity stunt and he was only insured for $10,000). .

Condition: individual cards range from Good with occasional folds and creases to Fine – mostly the latter. The album is fair only with extensive exterior wear, creases and tears to some of the pages – not affecting the cards.
