About This Item
An outstanding study of William Clarke Quantrill and the famous "Border Wars" in Kansas and Missouri in the 1860's. With the outbreak of the Civil War, Quantrill joined the Confederacy. Preferring guerilla tactics, he organized his own gang of southern sympathizers.
Very Good condition. 1st Edition. Red cloth binding, text and image in gilt on the cover. Title, author, and publisher in worn gilt on the spine. Cover has a spot on the front and light rubbing on the back. Light edge and corner wear.
Pages are lightly tanned and edges are untrimmed. I think there were 2-4 pages that had a stain, but I couldn't find them again, there may be more - but the book is mostly clean and tight. Binding is good. A really nice book for its age.
Please see photos
No dust jacket.
Includes maps and illustrations.
542 pages including Index and Errata. This is a heavy book and may require a small amount of additional postage.
