About This Item
(London: The Sheldon Press: no date) Pictorial cloth pp. 224 and 15 publishers advertisements (dated 20.9.34) Illustrated by G.W. Goss. Lost race novel set in the South Seas. A London doctor in search of his Naturalist brother meets a beautiful white queen ruling islanders, a thousand miles north of the Society Islands, elsewhere identified as an island on the edge of the Marquesas (p. 97); she is presumably of French descent as she says zis and zat. This edition seems to be unrecorded. A strip of discoloration from damp along the lower external hinge. Foxing to early leaves, heaviest to title-page, otherwise a very good copy.
