London: Jonathan Cape, 2014. First Edition, First Printing. Hardback. Very Fine/No Jacket. The Book is very fine, square, tight and unread. It is unmarked, with clean pages free of inscriptions or marks and has been signed by the author directly on to the title page. The title page is embossed 'The Quick, Exclusive Numbered Edition', numbered 109 of 500 and stamped with a graphic of an owl. The book also has an integral bright red ribbon page marker. The book was published without a dust jacket in black boards embossed with an owl on the front face and the spine. The book is housed in a grey slipcase printed in black ink with The Quick and an Owl graphic. First Edition, First Printing - Signed by the author. All our books are covered with a clear, removable, chemically inert, protective wrapper before being securely bubble wrapped and dispatched in strong corrugated cardboard boxes.

Synopsis

LAUREN OWEN studied English Literature at St. Hilda's College, Oxford, before completing an MA in Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia, where she received the 2009 Curtis Brown prize for the best fiction dissertation. The Quick is her first novel. She lives in Durham, England.
