New York: Holt, Rinehart and Winston, 1977. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First U.S. hardcover printing of Niven's science fiction classic. Winner of the Hugo, Nebula and Locus Awards. Fine book in a near fine, price-clipped jacket. The jacket retains the numerals "0777" at the bottom of the front flap. There is a short, closed tear (less than 1/2") to the top of the rear panel. Signed by Niven on the title page in a slightly shaky hand. The book was signed on November 18, 2023 at an event at Planet Book in Signal Hill, CA. Clean copy.
Synopsis
Ringworld is a Hugo, Nebula, and Locus award-winning 1970 science fiction novel by Larry Niven, set in his Known Space universe and considered a classic of science fiction literature. It is followed by three sequels, and ties into numerous other books set in Known Space. Ringworld won the Hugo Award in 1970, as well as both the Nebula and Locus Awards in 1971.
