About This Item
First American hardcover edition, with dust jacket, published by Free Press, 1997. A first English language translation hardcover. The author, an analyst at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, posits that modern wars are caused not by the strength of states but by their weaknesses. 235 pages with Bibliography. The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. Cover boards are flat, and the corners are not bumped. Edges of the text block are relatively clean with just one faded spot on the fore edge about the size of a raisin. Not a remainder, not a library discard. The attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory.
