About This Item

"The Rubaiyat of Bridge" by Carolyn Wells. 1909 1st edition; Harper & Brothers; New York. The book features full-page color illustrations on every other page by May Wilson Preston. The book is a collection of poems related to the card game bridge. The book is smaller in size - it measures 7 1/2" tall x 5" wide.

Condition:
The front cover has some light soiling and some tiny stain specks; sharp corners; clean back cover. Tight binding with no loose pages. There is a crack at the front hinge between the 3rd and 4th pages (despite the crack, the front cover is firmly attached and is not shaky). Nice pages with only a few ink smudges on the front/rear end papers; a front end paper has a 1" tear at the bottom edge. Small bookshop label affixed to the rear pastedown. Overall the book is in very good condition.
